Brotherhood Welcome
The Agudath Sholom Brotherhood, formerly the Abe Schewel B'Nai B'rith Lodge, is a support organization of men which has as its goal the advancement of the Jewish presence in the Lynchburg Area. Not only do we represent the Synagogue, but we work for the betterment of the entire community. We help the Synagogue build a center of Jewish life in the area by meeting the Jewish community needs not covered by normal Synagogue Services. We sponsor "Shabbat Dinners", "Barbecues", Speakers, Holocaust Publicity functions, various trips and movies. We also are a presence in the outside community taking part in supporting charitable acts and kindnesses such as "Meals on Wheels", "Bike and Build", "Bell Ringers"and Gateway Dinners. Our traditional annual "Jewish Food Fair" is our primary fund raiser in order to cover the many needs we endeavor to fulfill. We are open to any member of the Synagogue or Jew in the area. We are also famous for our "Breakfast Meetings" If you are in the area please join us.
